THE curtain will tonight rise on an Easter Ross production that promises to leave audiences all shook up.

The cast of Easter Ross Musical Theatre has been putting the final touches to the show inspired by the hits of Elvis Presley.

Sean Cowan, who takes the lead in All Shook Up as Chad, being staged at the Duthac Centre in Tain, said audiences can expect a string of familiar hits and “a love story with lots of twists”.

He said of his own character: “He’s a roustabout named Chad who styles himself on Elvis and thinks he’s a total ladies man. Throughout the show he realises there’s more to life than getting all the ladies.”

He said the show is peppered by great songs like Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock and Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.

What is billed as a lively and entertaining musical promises “to set feet tapping from beginning to end”.

The company’s Catriona Gray said: “The audience will recognise almost all the music from the era of the 1950s and 1960s.” She said of the story: “There is a huge amount of confusion and chaos along the way, but with highly entertaining results.”

The show will be performed in the Duthac Centre until Saturday, March 14 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £10 for adults, and £6 for children, are available from cast members, from the Hub in Stafford Street or at the door.
