Highland News & Media are pleased to announce the launch of a new text to audio function for online articles.

The software is available across all 9 of Highland News & Media’s websites and gives the opportunity for all online articles to be listened to as well as read.

With the digital growth of our journalism, last month alone we produced more than 3,000 stories online and had over 900,000 unique users across our websites. This new function creates a new ease of access to many of our loyal registered users and subscribers by giving them the option to listen to our content.

We are also pleased that this function introduces accessibility to those who have issues with visual impairment or any other conditions which make reading articles challenging, whether in print or online.

The text to audio function can also be accessed within the HNM app which can be downloaded on mobile and tablet devices, and used with a Digital+ subscription.
