An 18-year-old man has been charged by police in connection with road traffic offences after a two-car smash on the A835 near Conon Bridge, Dingwall

A teenager has been charged after a two-car road crash in Ross-shire last night.

There were no reported serious injuries resulting from the collision on the A835 near Conon Bridge, but the road was closed for a period of time.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At around 5.50pm on Thursday, February 3, officers were called to reports of a two car crash on the A835, near Conon Bridge, Dingwall.

"The road was closed southbound between Tore and Maryburgh to allow for recovery of the cars.

"An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
