TAIN’s second annual Christmas Tree Festival has raised more than £300 in aid of Highland Hospice.

Seventeen decorated trees were displayed by schools, groups and businesses at the event held in the parish church hall by Tain and District Gardeners Club on Saturday, December 5.

Refreshments were laid on, as well as entertainment by Craighill Primary School choir and a group from Tain Choral.

The club raised £322.10 which was donated to the hospice’s Project Build Appeal.

The third Christmas Tree Festival is already scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 3, next year.
