HARD work and rehearsals paid off for Easter Ross pupils who took part in a music festival.

Craighill Primary School choir returned to Tain from the Highland capital with the The Kingsmill trophy for their performance of When I Grow Up from the musical, Matilda.

Choir director Emily Bond said the pupils were "absolutely thrilled and proud of themselves" after going up against seven other schools in the P4-7 category.

She said: "They have worked hard and they really deserved the achievement."
