Tain charity shop manager hailed by Highland Hospice for 'passion and dedication'

A WOMAN whose dedication to her Highland Hospice role helped establish an Easter Ross charity shop as a firm favourite locally has been hailed as she stands down from a key role.

The charitable end-of-life care organisation has paid tribute to "one of our amazing shop managers", Susan Gibson.

Giving a heartfelt goodbye to her, Highland Hospice said: "Susan has been an absolute pillar of the Tain shop and has grown such an amazing community there.

"Her passion and dedication to the role, her volunteers and customers over the years has been inspiring and we wish you all the love and luck in the world for your retirement."

Many took to social media to do just that: "Happy retirement Susan - it was a pleasure to meet and work with you. Enjoy putting your feet up!," wrote Vicki Burnett.

Les Wilson added: "Enjoy your retirement and be absolutely proud of what you have accomplished during your time at the hospice shop."

Helen Chambers added: "Enjoy your retirement Sue. You deserve it. You and your volunteers and team have done amazing in Tain."

Kathleen Smith added: "Enjoy your retirement Susan.Always enjoyed a chat with you in shop. You will be missed."
