A new programme has been launched to support the boards of youth groups and clubs in the Highlands in order to enable their young people to develop social enterprise activities that could support their ongoing activities.

The programme is funded by Highland Council and delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy and runs alongside the My Future, My Success programme for young people who attend a youth hub or club, which gives them the opportunity to step up, realise their potential, and create the change they want to see in the world.

It will support boards and organisations with developing key skills such as setting strategic aims and objectives, a vision for the future, forward planning and identifying sources of funding or investment to enable enterprising youth work.

Jen Lindsay, project manager at the Social Enterprise Academy said: “This is an excellent opportunity for boards of youth groups and clubs to support their young people in creating positive social change. With the support of the My Future, My Success programme, youth groups and clubs can build sustainable third-sector youth support within communities, enabling them to build a

positive future for young people.”

Applications for board support will close on 15 May 2023.
