PLANS for further rock works on the Stromeferry bypass this autumn will be discussed at a public drop-in session in Lochcarron next week.

Highland Council has confirmed that the session will take place in Lochcarron Village Hall’s upper hall from 4pm to 6pm next Wednesday, April 24.

The event will give the community the chance “to find out more about the works and to discuss the plans for traffic management”.

This autumn’s planned work on the key A890 route follows major roadwork disruption last year, when vital stablisation efforts were undertaken on the slopes above the bypass, which is notorious for landslides.
