The popular Strictly Inverness event will be back in May of 2021, hosted at the Inverness Ice Centre.

The dance competition is in aid of Highland Hospice, and applicants must raise money to take part.

The hospice are looking for male and female applicants, aged over 18 who have little to no dance experience. The competition will take place between 18-21 May 2022.

Highland Hospice community fundraiser Carrie MacDonald said, “Strictly Inverness is a once in a lifetime experience which all of our previous competitors have thoroughly enjoyed.

“However, it is a huge challenge and commitment. Everyone who participates must attend at least three hours of dance tuition each week from January to May and, most importantly, commit fully to fundraising as much as possible for Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.”

Running since 2010, the event has always been a night of fun and excitement, but has faced delays due to the pandemic. This will be the eleventh event, launching with a show including talent from various Highland dance schools.

On Thursday and Friday night, eight couples will perform two individual and group dance routines, and the top four from each night will go through to the grand final on Saturday. One winner will be crowned.
