WORK on a link path providing access to a developing route between Dingwall and Strathpeffer is under way.

The Peffery Way links Dingwall and Strathpeffer via an off-road path.

Once all sections have been completed, it will offer an all-abilities connection suitable for walkers and cyclists.

It came into its own during lockdown with many reporting on the mental and physical benefits of having stretches to walk on close to their homes.

The Peffery Way Association spearheading the project said: "Delighted to advise that John Grant began work on the new section of link path from the Fodderty Cemetery car park this morning.

"We’re very grateful to Knockbain Farm for giving up the space to allow construction of this new link path. If you are walking near the machines, please take extra care, keep dogs on leads and ensure that you follow any requests or directions from the operators."
