Institute of Engineering and Technology STEM conference in Highland capital postponed due to coronavirus

A CONFERENCE in Inverness designed to encourage women to pursue careers in engineering, science and technology has been postponed due to coronavirus.

Titled thisLASScan and led by the Institute of Engineering and Technology in partnership with other professional bodies, it was set to bring together women who are already pursing successful science, engineering and technology based careers in industry and academia in the Highlands, with the aim of inspiring more young women to follow a similar path.

Due to take place today at the Kingsmills Hotel, it was postponed after some delegates were advised not to travel.

The Highlands has not had any confirmed case of coronavirus.
