Record-breaking Ross County hope the fans will turn out in force for Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Falkirk

ROSS County chiefs have issued a rallying cry to Staggies’ fans to turn out in force for this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash with Falkirk.

The record-breaking Dingwall side – 11 points clear at the top of the First Division and on a 24-match unbeaten run in the league – will be going all out for victory over the Bairns in what would be a psychologically significant win.

Anticipating a bumper gate for the Saturday fixture, Ross County’s admin staff are pulling out all the stops to encourage fans to snap up tickets in advance so as to avoid delays and ensure they see every minute of the match.

Ross County’s head of administration Ranald Gilbert explained: “At this stage of the season every game is huge for the club, and obviously when it’s two sides both involved in the title race it will always attract a lot more interest from fans of both clubs as well as neutrals.

“From a selfish point of view of course we want as many people inside the stadium cheering on the team, but we also want to make sure people have an enjoyable match day experience and see every minute of the 90.

“At any ground in any league in the Country you find there’s a surge of people in the last 15 minutes before kick-off, and if they don’t already have their tickets then that inevitably leads to queues and delays and sometimes even means fan miss the kick off. That’s why we’ve worked hard over a number of seasons to develop a range of ways for fans to pre-purchase tickets before they arrive at the stadium to minimise delay – whether they’ve bought their ticket at the stadium in advance or bought it online or over the phone and had it posted out or even just have it waiting for collection on the day of the game.

“I think everyone would rather be inside Victoria Park and savouring the pre-match atmosphere – or even a pie and bovril – rather than being stuck in a queue at the ticket office!”

Having secured all three points for the fourth successive match on Saturday against Hamilton - in so doing gaining a place in history for the longest unbeaten run in the First Division - Ross County are expecting a bumper on Saturday.

Tickets having already been available for over a month, with sales “extremely high”. The club is now urging fans of both teams not to leave it until the last minute to make sure they secure their place at one of the biggest matches of the season in Dingwall.

Tickets are available to purchase online 24 hours a day at www.rosscountyfootballclub.com or from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday either in person at the stadium or by telephoning 01349 860860.

They are also on sale on match day from 9am right through until kick-off - and can also be purchased at the match against Morton on Tuesday (March 13).
