Tickets for the Highlands' biggest trucking event of the year are now on sale, after a huge turnout of 6000 people last year.

TruckNess is returning to the Highlands, where they will be raising money for MFR Cash for Kids north Highland.

The major trucking event is taking place at Muir of Ord's Black Isle Showground on Saturday August 12, 10am–5pm.

TruckNess was first staged to celebrate the fantastic contributions made by the people working in the haulage industry in the Highlands and Islands, as well as being an opportunity to raise funds for MFR Cash for Kids.

Dozens of lorries took pride of place at the show.

Event organiser, George MacLennan said: "It all started as a small exhibition of trucks and grew from there, many of the trucks are quite spectacular.

"It was a way of getting the trucking community together once a year in the Highlands, and we decided to use it as an opportunity to make money for charity as well. We chose MFR Cash for Kids because of all they do in our local area, in the Highlands and east coast."

The event brings truckers together from all corners of the UK, and charges £5 for adult tickets, £3 for under 16's and OAP's, £20 for Truck Entry, and under 5's go free.
