THE turn in the weather this week gifted snow days off school to thousands of pupils across the Highlands.

It was a delight for some who revelled in the chance to play in the snow or get out with the camera and shoot some seasonal images.

For others provided a logistical headache and it certainly made transport treacherous in parts of Ross-shire.
