A BLACK Isle wildlife photographer renowned for his iconic dolphin shots is backing an exhibition which will boost a Highland heritage group.

Charlie Phillips, who is based in North Kessock, is joining forces with Kyle of Sutherland Heritage Society for a 16-day photographic exhibition as part of the Highland Archaeology Festival.

The former Kincardine Parish Church, at Ardgay, the exhibition centre of the Kyle of Sutherland Heritage Society (K.O.S.H.S) will be open for the entire festival which runs from October 1-16.

The annual archaeological and historical exhibition is this year called A Place to Call Home.

Mr Phillips will be exhibiting around 30 of his wildlife images at the centre. Members of the public are invited to join him for the evenings of October10 and 11 from 7.30pm onwards to enjoy many wildlife photographs in a visual show entitled “Fins, Fur and Feathers”. He plans to discuss the wonderful diversity of local wildlife, especially around our coastlines, and and will touch on how it also needs a place called home, too.

The framed wildlife prints will also be for sale with a donation from each print going to the Kyle of Sutherland Heritage Society.
