Barney Page’s epic challenge included a 30-mile stretch from the Highland capital to Aviemore, accompanied by local skaters.

It took the 30-year-old from Leeds five hours using roads and cycle paths.

His efforts are in aid of the Ben Raemers Foundation, set up in honour of the fellow professional skateboarder who died in 2019. It uses funds to help provide mental health support for people struggling.

Mr Page said: “Being able to help raise money and awareness for the Ben Raemers Foundation is an incredible feeling and I hope the journey touches others in the way it has for me.”

Ross Ketterer (25), from Inverness, who joined Page, said: “Being a skateboarder in the Highlands where mental health is a major issue, I felt it was important to support it.”

The journey lasted a period of 25 days and a total of 941 miles.
