SHOCKED Cubs in a Ross-shire village have a clear message after a dedicated litter drive at one of the county town's beauty spots.

Muir of Ord Cubs recently went on a litter picking walk beside the pump track and the woods towards the Black Isle showground.

While making a huge impact with their efforts, part of the big help out to celebrate the King’s coronation, they were "really disappointed" with what they found.

As part of their activity towards their Our World badge, the cubs got busy with their litter pickers and bin bags and set to work clearing up a well used and enjoyed green space in the village.

Many bags of litter were collected and kindly uplifted by the council the following day.

A spokesperson said: "The cubs were really disappointed to find so much litter though; and were shocked by the number of dog poo bags that had been tossed away. There was even large foam blocks and a camping chair discarded in our lovely woodland.
