A bicycle-powered performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is planned for Inverewe Gardens’ very first Cultural Weekend.

When The HandleBards theatre company takes to the grand lawn on Saturday it will be the first time the bard has ever been performed in the historic grounds – and staff at the National Trust for Scotland property are excited at the prospect.

Property manager Kevin Frediani said: “Inverewe’s events programme this year has been a great success in drawing new audiences and supporters to our National Trust for Scotland property.

“But we have never before held an event such as this performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

“We are very much looking forward to it, especially as we know there is so much interest,” he added.

Tickets are available on the night or in advance online from the NTS website at http://bit.ly/2vvBnmm

Meanwhile, the concert by the classical guitar duo, Ross Wilson and Lewis Dunsmore will take place on Sunday at 7pm as part of their Scottish concert tour.
