Seven men have been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with separate allegations of drink-driving in the Highlands
Detections were made in Alness as well as Inverness, Nairn, Kirkwall and Fort William.
A 20-year-old man is expected to appear at Tain Sheriff Court today while a 39-year-old will appear at Kirkwall Sheriff Court.
The others – aged 37, 31, 29, 24 and 17 – will all be reported to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant David Miller, of Police Scotland's roads policing unit, said: "The consequences of drink or drug driving are well known and it is disappointing that some people still believe it is acceptable to get behind the wheel under the influence.
"It is an entirely selfish act which puts your own life in danger, as well as other innocent road users.
"When you are caught you will face prosecution which will have life-changing consequences, with the possibility of losing your licence, vehicle and livelihood. The only thing you will gain is a criminal record.
"If you are going to be drinking alcohol, make sure you make travel plans in advance and leave your car at home.
"Anyone with concerns about a suspected drink or drug driver is urged to contact 101 or 999 in an emergency.
"You can also pass on concerns anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
