A woman due to be sentenced for drug dealing has had her case further deferred until August 2 for a health report.

Michelle Ancell’s solicitor Marc Dickson told Inverness Sheriff Court his client had been hospitalised and was unable to be present on Tuesday last week.

Sheriff Margaret Neilson agreed to continue the case for an up to date medical report.

Previously the court heard that police received a tip-off about a car carrying drugs and when officers stopped the vehicle near Kiltarlity discovered heroin worth a maximum £8160.

Ancell (40), formerly of Lower Kessock Street, Inverness, and now of Bathgate, was one of three people in the car.

She admitted being concerned in the supply of diamorphine on March 7, 2019 on the A833 road.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir said: "It is accepted there is no suggestion that Ancell was the controlling mind, orchestrator or architect of these events."
