A 24 year old Dingwall man now living in Aberdeen will learn his fate in the New Year after admitting attacking his partner.

Sentence had been deferred on Stuart Johnstone of Seaforth Place, for a background report. But his case was deferred again until January 7 so an assessment on whether or not he was suitable for a domestic abuser rehabilitation programme.

Johnstone admitted that on June 1 in a house in Station Road, Dingwall, he assaulted the woman to her injury.

The charge stated that he seized hold of her body, put pressure on her neck, threw objects at her, ran after her, pushed her on the body, causing her to fall to the ground, attempt to punch her and kick her on the body.
