James Paton was reported missing before Christmas.

THERE has still been no sign of a 72-year-old man who went missing in the Beauly area just before Christmas.

James Paton was last seen on Monday December 23 when he was driving his Dacia Duster on the Fanellan Farm road, near Ruttle Woods on the south side of the River Beauly.

It is believed he was going to walk his dog in the woods.

Extensive searches have been carried out by specialist search police units, dogs, Dundonnel Mountain Rescue Team, Scottish Fire and Rescue and the HM Coastguard helicopter plus volunteers from the local community but he has not been found.

Mr Paton is described as 5ft 5ins, of stout build with a grey beard and hair and wears glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting incident 3111 of 23 December.
