THE presence of a potentially life-saving piece of kit is being flagged to Easter Ross villagers.

Balintore Hilton Community Council has highlighted the location of two defibrillators and posted a video about how to use one.

Treatment with a defibrillator as soon as possible can give cardiac arrest victims the best chance of survival. They are easy for almost anyone to use.

One is at the Seaboard Centre, also known as the Seaboard Memorial Hall, on East St, Balintore. It is located on the garage wall, signposted and well lit. This defibrillator can be accessed 24 hours a day.

The other is at Right Medicine Pharmacy, at 2 Hugh Street, Balintore. Howvere that one is currently out of service until a standby unit can be installed.

The charity said on its Facebook page: "More information will be posted here regarding the defibrillator on Hugh Street as soon as possible.

"In the meantime, in an emergency, please use the defibrillator at the Seaboard Memorial Hall."

It said more training can be provided and asks anyone interested in knowing more to "get in touch with us to find out more".

Updated information will be posted at https://balintorehiltoncommunitycouncil.com/seaboard-defibrillator/
