Avoch Sea Scouts all set for car wash and coffee days at Black Isle base

SEA Scouts in a Black Isle community are gearing up for some watery action over the next couple of days – with a special fundraising car wash.

1st Avoch Sea Scouts launch a car wash and coffee day fundraiser in the village today (Monday).

The Sea Scouts will be offering their services between 11am and 4pm today and tomorrow at a fun event in the village.

It said: "We are all ready at 1st Avoch Sea Scouts for our car wash and coffee day fundraiser here at the Sea Scout Centre which will run over the next two days.

"Thank you so much to everyone who has donated prizes for our raffle including local businesses and people in the community. We will be open for you to come and get your car cleaned and have a cup of coffee. We hope to see you there, please spread the word!"

1st Avoch Sea Scouts provide nautical and land based adventure training for young people aged 6-18.

The troop operates from a training centre next to Avoch Primary School and nearby sailing club at Chanonry, Fortrose.

It uses Avoch and Fortrose Harbours for the fleet.
