Scottish award hope for Ullapool chip shop

A CHIPPY is keeping its fingers crossed for success after it was named a finalist in a Scotland-wide awards.

Deli-Ca-Sea Fish & Chip Shop in Ullapool is one of the shortlisted contenders in the ninth annual Food Awards Scotland, which will take place later this month.

The prestigious event will take place on Monday, August 28 at Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow where top professionals will come together to celebrate their achievements.

Deli-Ca-Sea is a finalist in the “Best Fish N Chip Establishment North” category.

David and Mairi, who are the owners of Deli-Ca-Sea said: “We are very proud to be in the mix with these other great chippies but even more so, of our team here at Deli-Ca-Sea, they are awesome. Everyday we strive to be the best we can to ensure we give the best we can offer.”

The Food Awards Scotland 2023 seeks to recognise the hard work and efforts of those committed to providing the freshest of products and amazing delights. They also showcase the best restaurants, takeaways, pubs, hotel restaurants, cafés and bistros, as well as those who help people to explore new flavours and cuisines from different cultures.

The event will provide a platform to make lasting business connections and boost the best businesses in 2023 and beyond.
