A SCHOOL house could be demolished at a Lochalsh primary to make way for a new larger nursery building, under plans submitted by Highland Council.

Under the demolition application, the two-storey school house at the eastern end of the Kyle Primary School building will be demolished in order to clear the way for a proposed new nursery.

At the moment the school's nursery is situated in a separate modular building at the north end of the school's car park. This would be replaced if the new nursery goes ahead.

The proposed new nursery will be subject to a separate planning application.
