A CHANCE to find out simple fixes to everyday repair issues will be offered at a climate festival on the Black Isle tomorrow.

The Black Isle Climate Festival is being held on Saturday, June 25 from 1-4pm in the Avoch Community Centre on the village's Old Mill Road.

All are welcome and entry and activities are free of charge.

The festival is part of the wider Highland Climate Festival which runs until July 3 and is organised by Highland Adapts and the North Highland Climate Hub.

Organisers said: "It's an afternoon for everyone and we are delighted to be able to support the first taster session of the Black Isle Repair Cafe. The repair cafe includes volunteers from the Black Isle Men's Shed amongst others."

The repair cafe welcome you along to see what it's all about and will be doing simple 20-minute fixes of several items including:

- general woodwork and garden repairs

- electrical repairs

- sewing and textile repairs

- computers and digital help

- bikes

Also available to take part in will be natural crafts run by two of the teachers from Avoch Primary School, the Giant Clootie project, an opportunity to try out an e-bike, local food tasters, composting mini workshops, reusable nappy information, local growing information, music, tea and coffee, home baking and local food samples.

It also marks the launch of the Highland Community Waste Partnership.
