Housing support services for adults provided by the Salvation Army have received praise from inspectors.
The Salvation Army Resettlement Project operates in the Inverness and Ross-shire areas, providing support to people at risk of being homeless and to other vulnerable adults living in the community.
Based in Wells Street, Inverness, it was graded by the Care Inspectorate as very good for leadership and supporting people's wellbeing.
Following the short-notice announced visit, inspectors stated: "Staff knew their service users very well and supported them with care and sensitivity. This included supporting people with a range of needs and promoting people's independence.
"There were positive reports from families and professionals about the support people received.
"People's health and wellbeing benefited from effective communication with health and housing colleagues."
Staff were hailed for supporting people with warmth, respect and kindness.
Inspectors added: "People felt safe when support was being delivered as there were strong, trusting relationships between staff and the people they supported. Staff evidenced a strong commitment to ensuring that people lived the best life they could, and people experienced support that promoted their identity, independence, dignity, privacy and choice."
