Eilidh Stewart spoke to members about her involvement with Rotary's group for children.

Eilidh Stewart (11) is president of Westhill Primary Rotakids in Aberdeen and joined her grandfather, Dingwall Rotarian Donald Spark, at the county town's weekly club meeting recently.

A spokesperson said: "Eilidh gave a very good talk on why she enjoyed Rotakids and the various events they had organised from a litter pick to brightening up their school playground by painting the fences.

"Her talk made such an impression that the club have invited her to join club member Brian Parry on a visit to a local primary school where starting Rotakids is under discussion when she next visits Dingwall.

Dingwall Town Hall was lit in purple at the end of October as part of a campaign to "End Polio" and Eilidh also turned out with her grandfather to help at the club’s End Polio fundraiser at Tesco Dingwall.

The sum of £360 was generously donated by Tesco customers and with two-for-one match funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, End Polio Now will receive £1080.
