A BAKERY is bouncing back as coronavirus restrictions ease by embracing continental cafe culture – in Muir of Ord.

Bad Girl Bakery has introduced an outdoor seating area as part of its revamped set-up to abide by new guidelines and ensure social distancing requirements can be respected.

The bakery's owner Jeni Hardie earlier admitted that 2020 has been "an incredibly rocky road" and said she had been touched by local support at a difficult time.

In the first week of opening, she said staff were "staggered" by the response to the revamped shop and takeaway, selling out every day and at one point cleaning the local butcher out of sausage meat in response to demand for its sausage rolls.

In a post today the cafe flagged its outdoor seating in the Square for its takeaway customers with the hashtag #likebeingonholiday
