Every week in the Ross-shire Journal, we publish a photograph somewhere in the county by a reader.

It appears on the letters page on the paper under the heading: 'Ross-shire through the Lens'.

With such a large and starkly contrasting area to choose from, amateur snappers are seldom stuck for choice when trying to figure out where to point their cameras.

And we love seeing the results.

From landmarks such as the monument on Fyrish Hill to the oil platforms in the Cromarty Firth it overlooks and the stunning beauty of Wester Ross, the variety is endless.
