A ROSS-SHIRE secondary has appointed its new S5/6 prefect team which will provide support with school improvement in the coming academic session.

Alness Academy says a total of 18 pupils were successful following interview.

It will be appointing its new head and depute head students at the start of next term.

The Place youth group was amongst many posting congratulations, stating: "Well done. Look forward to working with you all on community events."

A photo of some of the new team was shared by the school ahead of the summer holiday break.
