RNLI Invergordon lifeboat open day has something for everyone in glorious sunshine

GLORIOUS sunshine brought a late summer vibe to the RNLI Invergordon Lifeboat open day at the weekend.

The Easter Ross town has a proud history of hosting the lifesaving volunteers whose contribution to protecting those in peril on the sea is marked with a mural.

The open day saw an excellent turnout from the emergency services who often work as a team with the lifeboat crew.

A lifeboat demonstration, tours and displays from the local judo club and Anne Noble School of Dance ensured it was a colourful day for all who attended.

Mascot Stormy Stan was on hand to welcome visitors of all ages and there was a chance to have faces painted.

Christine Port wrote later: "It was an amazing day. Thank you to everyone involved. Enjoyed the lifeboat tour and& the 'rescue'."
