Dingwall man Lewis Cameron of Deas Avenue was fined £160 at Inverness Sheriff Court after admitting possession of a class C drug.
Officers found a small quantity of Xanax on the 31-year-old in Burnett Road Police Station in Inverness after he had been taken there and searched on another matter on February 4 last year.
