WOMEN in a Ross-shire community are being invited to get into the swing of golf – free of charge.

The six-week course being teed up in Strathpeffer is part of a drive to encourage ladies keen to learn the sport.

Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club declared it "a great opportunity" which will be led by one of its members, Dod Krzyzanowski.

The first lesson is pencilled in for Thursday, June 3 at 5.30pm.

The six-week course will then run every Thursday.

The club posted: "We are delighted to say there will be no charge, but booking is essential."

Anyone interested is asked to message directly via Facebook or phone the clubhouse 01997421219.
