A Ross-shire dealer who had been supplying drugs for over six years has been jailed for 18 months at Inverness Sheriff Court.

And 28-year-old Jordan Megbaghandu of Lochside Road, Ullapool, had his latest sentence added to a five-year term imposed on May 23.

He appeared before Sheriff Gary Aitken and pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and cannabis between January, 2014 and October, 2020.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir told the court: "Police obtained a search warrant after intelligence was received for properties at Lochside Road and St Valery Place, Ullapool.

"He was in the living room of Lochside Place and police saw that he had drug paraphernalia around him, and was placing white powder in bags. His mother's house at St Valery Place was then searched and she confirmed that she was storing drugs for her son. Cannabis was found in the kitchen."

Mr Weir said the values of the recovered drugs were £1100 worth of cannabis weighing 116 grams and 17 grams of cocaine valued at £2600.

The prosecutor added: "Mobile phones were examined and there were messages indicating that he was dealing as early as January, 2014."

Sentencing Megbaghandu, Sheriff Aitken told him: "Given that this represents a separate occasion of offending from that in your other case, I am satisfied that it should be served consecutively to your current sentence."
