A cook was ordered to be of good behaviour for the next six months after admitting stealing £127.50p worth of alcohol and confectionery from Marks and Spencer's in Inverness.

At Inverness Sheriff Court, Wendy Stuart (44) of Kilmuir Place, Invergordon admitted the shoplifting offence which took place on December 11, 2020.

Fiscal depute Sharon Ralph said there had been full recovery of the stolen goods.

Stuart will re-appear on August 11 for sentencing.

Sheriff Robert Frazer told her defence solicitor, Rory Gowans: "I am giving her a chance now that she has got a job."
