A ROSS-SHIRE community council says its "unlikely" to have any face to face meetings for the rest of the year.

Continued uncertainty over the coronavirus crisis has prompted Fortrose and Rosemarkie Community Council to flag plans for virtual meetings which members of the public can attend if they wish.

The community council said: "We had hoped that in October we would be able to resume face to face meetings but this now looks unlikely for the rest of the year.

"Your community council members have been continuing to deal with all enquiries from the community relaying points as needed to Highland Council while circulating information from Highland Council to the community.

"We have taken part in the regular meetings for the Black Isle bringing together Highland Council, community councils and community groups across the Black Isle working on support issues and now community resilience.

"In order to comply with Scottish Government guidelines, we will arrange to meet virtually."

Anyone wanting to join virtual meetings or receive information online is invited to send their email address to fortrosandrosemarkie@gmail.com

It can be contacted through its Facebook page, website fortrosemarkie.org or by texting 0794 880 5724.
