REVELLERS from across Ross-shire have been making their way to the scenic site of the Highlands' biggest music festival.
The three-day event on the bank of Loch Ness at Dores will coincide with the arrival in Inverness of the Olympic torch relay over the weekend, creating a logistical challenge for police and emergency service.
Many music fans arriving in drizzly conditions yesterday are pitching tents in time-honoured festival tradition, ready for a three-day party.
Headline acts include Mumford and Sons, teen sensation Ed Sheeran and The View.
Those arriving heavy laden with camping gear and supplies are this year being given the opportunity to lighten the load with a 'festibarrow'.
Amongst the early birds arriving to pitch their tents were Alness couple Mairi Libesley and John Mann (pictured here).
Police and partner health and emergency services agencies have appealed to festival goers ahead of the event to take sensible precautions to ensure their personal safety.
They've also warned they'll take a no-nonsense approach to any drugs or public disorder offences detected.
Keep an eye out for our staff photographers who will be prowling the site over the weekend! Speak nicely to them and you might just find yourself appearing in next week's Ross-shire Journal! Say hello to long lens-toting Alasdair Allen, Alison White and Callum Mackay if you see them.
