A835 Inverness to Ullapool road closed near Garve following crash, Traffic Scotland confirms

A CRASH has closed the A835 south of Garve, Traffic Scotland has confirmed.

Shortly after 5pm, it announced that the busy trunk route was closed between Tarvie and the junction at Gorstan due to a collision.

It gave no immediate details about the type or number of vehicles involved, but a spokesman added that "all emergency services are on the scene".

It added that traffic is heavy in the area.

The closure means that large diversions are in effect for motorists.

Highland Council has advised parents that the Dingwall Academy to Lochluichart bus was delayed due to the road closure.
