A PLEASURE craft experiencing engine difficulties sparked a call-out for the RNLI's Kessock crew on Sunday afternoon.

The lifesaving crew were giving their lifeboat a scrubbing down at its North Kessock base when their pagers went off at 1.35pm to reports of a seven foot pleasure craft in difficulty near Fort George.

The lifeboat was in the water by 1.46pm and those in difficulty were returned safely home.

The RNLI's vessel was ready for service again by 5.10pm.
