PAPERS have been lodged for retrospective planning permission for a Wester Ross holiday home.

Ms J Baird has applied to Highland Council for the building at Culduie, Applecross. It is for conversion of the outbuilding for use as a holiday let.

According to the application the outbuildings have been converted and were used as a holiday letting unit before being bought by the applicant. The report added: “The unit has been renovated and the applicant wishes to regularise the usage of said unit.”

The building was described as a one-bed holiday letting unit.

The applicant said that she had already discussed a way to resolve what was a potentially complex issue with a council planning officer.

She was advised that the retrospective application would be the best way to accomplish a resolution and provide the correct planning consent on the building.
