THREE German visitors who became disoriented on a Ross-shire outing sparked a callout for a Ross-shire mountain rescue team.

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team members were scrambled on Tuesday night to help the trio who had become disoriented by the weather whilst on Ullapool hill.

The party was quickly located by one of the SARDA (Search and Rescue Dog Association Scotland) team members and his dog, Rona.

The team later reported: "The party were quickly assessed and found to be uninjured just a little cold and wet, they were then walked off the hill back to the rest of their tour party at the campsite."
