Rob Teasdale and Emma Dale tied the knot in the gun room of the shop on Castle Street after four years of dating.

The ceremony was led by Rev Fiona Smith from Ness Bank Church where the couple used to attend.

The pair run Specialist Vermin Control and met when Rob was called out to Emma’s house to deal with a wormwood issue.

Emma was led to the unusual venue by Dougie Waston of Piper on Parade in her gorgeous wedding gown, whilst Rob opted for something a little less traditional in his camouflaged waistcoat and blue jeans.

Dougie played Marie’s Wedding on the way to the venue, which Emma saw in a Billy Connolly sketch, and once the couple were wedded they left to the tune of Flower of Scotland.

Mr Watson said he is fairly used to atypical weddings, but this is his first time piping in a gun shop.

“It was a lovely day,” he said. “I do 50 or 60 weddings a year, and the smaller ones are more intimate and the couple are more relaxed. They had the ceremony and there was a celebratory drink afterwards.”

The pair chose the venue because of their love of shooting and stalking. They are also frequent shoppers at Grahams so thought it would be a great idea.

David Traill, who owns Grahams of Inverness together with his wife Kate, said the couple were long time customers and were “larger than life characters”.

He added: “When they asked I thought ‘aye okay’ but it was definitely a one off.

“It was a bit of fun and they had a lovely day and best of luck to the pair of them.”

He said that the Rev Fiona Smith had brought the proper gravitas to the happy occasion.
