Brodick Quartet set for Easter Sunday concert date at The Stables in Cromarty

A NEWLY-formed quartet of talented young musicians who have performed alongside major orchestras will play a special concert on the Black Isle on Easter Sunday.
The Brodick Quartet are due to perform at The Stables in Cromarty at 4pm, with doors opening at 3.30pm.
The quartet is made up of Katrina Lee and Ben Norris on violin, Rhoslyn Lawton on viola and Alice Allen on cello, and they are graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow), Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester) and Royal College of Music (London).
Now based in Glasgow, the musicians perform with groups such as the Scottish Ensemble, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, London Concertante and Scottish Opera.
Their Cromarty concert programme is expected to consist of Beethoven’s C minor Quartet, Webern – Langsamer Satz and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in F minor.
Tickets are £13 (£11 concessions) and are free for school children. They can be picked up on the door on the day.
Easter treats and tea/coffee will also be available to purchase.
