A number of pupils, and their families, who attend Dingwall Primary School, have told to self isolate after a pupil tested positively for Covid.
In a social media post, a member of the parents information page said they has been in touch with the head teacher and all parents and pupils who need to take action have been contacted.
The post titled "Important Covid update", states: "I have been in communication with Mr Raistrick [the head teacher] this morning about the positive Covid case within the school community.
"He has asked me to pass on reassurance to all parents. The class in close contact with the pupil have been asked to self isolate for 10 days. Each child directly affected has received a letter with thappropriatete details.
"Mixing of pupils across classes has been minimised since they returned in March.
"The classroom affected has been locked so it is not possible to spread the virus this way.
"Also, enhanced cleaning measures are in place. This is following all advice from Scottish Government/Highland Council/NHS Highland and public health bodies."
Parents who have commented on the post have raised concerns about cross contamination, with one parent saying: "P4 - P7s regularly mix at intervals playing football and other activities."
