ENGINEERS are on site after a power cut was reported in parts of Tain.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said it hopes to restore power to affected properties by 1.30pm after the outage was reported at 10.04am.

On its online outage map, SSEN Power Track, the company is showing the outage affecting properties in some parts of Academy Street, Moss Road, Hill Street, Well Street, Manse Street and Laundry Lane, and extending out to part of the town's bypass.

A spokesman for SSEN said: "We're sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.

"If you need more information, please call us on 105 or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter (@ssencommunity) and quote reference 'KX8942'."
