A POWER cut is affecting homes in the Stromeferry area, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks has confirmed.

An area stretching south from the shore of Loch Carron to halfway between Stromeferry and Auchtertyre is affected by the outage, according to SSEN's Power Track map.

The cut occurred at around 12.10pm and engineers are now on site. SSEN said it hopes to restore power by around 5pm.

"We're sorry for the loss of supply," said SSEN. "Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
