Police say they are increasingly concerned about the welfare of 30-year-old Steven Seel

POLICE say they're "increasingly concerned" about the welfare of a Ross-shire man who hasn't been seen in almost a fortnight.

A massive land and air search over the weekend failed to turn up any trace of Steven Seel who hasn't been seen since July 3.

Northern Constabulary say they are continuing inquiries in relation to the search for the thirty-year-old, who is from the Strathpeffer area.

On Saturday and Sunday, extensive searches were carried out in the Bealach Na Ba area of Applecross by Torridon Mountain Rescue Team (MRT), Dundonell MRT, Kintail MRT, RAF MRT, the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA), Skywatch and Northern Constabulary dog section.

This search consisted over 30 personnel and six dogs, with support from the Skywatch Civil Air Patrol.

Steven was confirmed as being in this area in the early hours of July 3 and police are becoming increasing concerned for his welfare.

Steven is described as being 5ft 10ins, of slim/medium build, fair complexion and blue eyes with light brown hair.

If anyone has any information about Steven or if they believe they saw anyone matching Steven's description they are urged to contact Dingwall Police Station on 01349 862444.
