Police have named the pedestrian who died following a crash in Nairn.

Police have now named the 91-year-old man who died following a crash in Nairn.

He was James Alexander who lived in the town.

The collision happened on Thursday January 21 around 4.50pm at the junction of Thurlow Road and Seafield Street

and involved two cars - a black Mazda and a red Honda.

Mr Alexander, who was a pedestrian at the time, was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died on Monday.

Inquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police can call 101, quoting incident 2265 of 21 January, 2021.
